Tell us about your role with Spur.
I was one of the 2015 RBC Emerging Scholars at Spur Winnipeg. I found it all a very interesting experience. I particularly enjoyed the combination of having artists and speakers in every panel.

In the last year, what is the longest you have gone ‘unplugged’?
One day.

Which book is currently on your nightstand?
Shani Mootoo’s novel Moving Forward Sideways Like a Crab

What is the one item you never leave home without?
Gum.

Do you have any friends you have never met in person?
Not friends but colleagues.

Who was the last person you texted?
My partner.

The animated show The Jetsons was set in 2062. Is there anything from their futuristic world that you wish were a current reality?
Shorter workdays would be a healthier idea.

How do you prefer to communicate with colleagues: by phone, email, text or in person? How do you prefer to communicate with friends?
In person, if possible.

What do you love about the city in which you live?
The people who live in it!
