Books and Brunch: Greg Bechtel

Greg Bechtel

As our understanding of physics grows, so do our ideas of what is possible. Entranced and fixated on magic, “Impossible!” we say.

In his debut short story collection, Boundary Problems, Greg Bechtel straddles the line between physics and magic, between the possible and the impossible. Join Bechtel for a delicious brunch, as his reads from and discusses the collection, pushing us to ask what lies beyond logic. Moderated by Eric Friesen, the conversation will also feature experimental poet and bestselling author Christian Bök.

Using the narrative form to explore complex subjects and difficult topics Spur’s Books and Brunch series confronts everyday truths over brioche and brie.

  • Series: Books and Brunch
  • General admission: $50

This event is presented in partnership with Wordfest and Freehand Books.
