Michael Chender, a Shambhala community member and experienced teacher of how to marry insight to action and act, as well as think, wisely, explains the history and significance of the Buddhist presence in Halifax. A walking tour of the city centre, beginning in the lovingly nicknamed Shamble Centre, reveals the proliferation of Buddhist influence on the city, while an outdoor mindfulness workshop led by Chender introduces session members to new ways of knowing and explains the process of creating a mindful state of being.
